What the roaster says

In the heart of East Java, the Ijen Plateau continues to evolve as one of Indonesia’s most compelling coffee origins. With its mineral-rich volcanic soil, cool highland climate, and elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 meters above sea level, Ijen provides a perfect environment for producing clean, vibrant coffees.

This washed lot brings together a mix of varieties grown by smallholder farmers who share a commitment to quality and careful post-harvest handling. The cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, fully washed, and slowly dried under shade—allowing the terroir to shine through with clarity and elegance. In the cup, you’ll find a bright and refreshing profile. Juicy strawberry and zesty tangerine form the core of the flavor, lifted by delicate floral top notes.

It’s a balanced and expressive brew—light yet structured, clean yet complex.

A celebration of Ijen’s natural beauty and the dedication of Mas Iyan, this washed lot captures the highland’s purity in every sip. Truly bright expression from the highland.
